Danau Toba Milik Kita Bersama

Cuma mau share beberapa picture Danau Toba buat teman-teman yang mungkin belum pernah berkunjung ke sana. Kebetulan tiba-tiba gue ngerasa kangen ke Danau Toba, dapatlah beberapa gambar ini yang dicomot dari mana-mana. Thanks btw buat mereka yang uda mengabadikan keindahan alam Danau Toba dan membagikannya di dunia maya.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Danau Toba is ours, Indonesian. It doesn't belong to any particular group in this country. It doesn't belong to Batak people only (just because we're orriginated from here), nor the people of North Sumatra only--but it belongs to us.

Few months ago, the people of the world came together to support their natural resources for the new seven world's natural wonders. I had never expected that Lake Toba would be nominated, but well I saw it there. I have a feeling that Indonesian's representatives wouldn't make it to the top. The number of internet active user in our country is less than other countries. If I shouldn't support Indonesian's representatives, I would say what a friend of mine told me earlier. He support Maccu Piccu in Peru. Seeing the current rank that Maccu Piccu was far away behind an unknown river, he seemed to be confused; no idea at all. For him, the voting system is kinda ridiculous. LOL!!

Well, I am personally voted for Lake Toba for sure. Everyone wants their natural resources to be elected. But again and again; we apparently won't make it there. I'm not surprised at all. However, I would be more glad if we could experience how it feels to be there and to see the beauty of God's creation; especially for you all, my fellow Indonesians. That is the most important thing. More important than a universal label objected to Lake Toba. I feel sorry that we haven't done so much to promote Lake Toba. I actually don't wanna blame the central government. But somehow, I have a feeling that North Sumatra is kinda neglected by our government while hey, North Sumatra gives a lot contribution for our central government especially in economic sector.

I don't know whether it's true that some people there have particular sentiment; that's just the reality. But let's see, even though North Sumatra is not included among the main tourist destinations in Visit Indonesia Year 2008 programme, the number of visitor to Lake Toba increased significantly. Yes, Lake Toba has her own charm. The lack of promotion doesn't mean people would forget her. Once we come there, we would miss her again. So, who cares how the government would treat his regions. I just believe that there are still a lot of people either Bataknese or non-Bataknese who loves Lake Toba and ready to do their best to preserve it so that our next generations may enjoy the beauty of the Lake just like we do.

So, buat teman-teman yang punya rencana berwisata or gateaway, cobalah berkunjung ke Danau Toba. Shortly, why do we have to go aboard if we have something here in our own home and we have never been to those places before. Danau Toba milik bangsa Indonesia. Please, don't die before you visit this lake. :-)

Rumahku Indonesiaku

Dibintangi oleh artis cantik Fahrani, iklan yang bertemakan "Rumahku Indonesiaku" menjadi sebuah hal yang patut diberikan apresiasi oleh masyarakat kita. Iklan ini ditayangkan dalam rangka peringatan Hari Natal dan Tahun Baru 2007. Saat pertama kali menyaksikan iklan ini, saya langsung merasa kagum akan buah kreativitas anak bangsa dalam menyajikan tayangan bermakna bagi seluruh anak bangsa ini. Lahir dari kerja keras anak bangsa untuk anak bangsa, iklan ini benar-benar mampu memberikan semangat cinta terhadap tanah air Indonesia bagi mereka yang mau memberikan apresiasinya.

Kita memang harus lebih bijak dalam menciptakan sebuah karya. Anak-anak bangsa Indonesia sebenarnya mampu dan telah terbukti mampu membuat karya yang besar. Wujud rasa syukur kita sebagai bangsa sebaiknyalah diekspresikan lewat tindakan nyata yang dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih besar lagi di masa yang akan datang.

Maju terus anak bangsa!
